Day 01 - Arrival in Gwalior

Meet our representative upon arrival in Gwalior and proceed to hotel. Upon arrival, check in to
the hotel. Afternoon, proceed for local sightseeing. Visit Tansen Memorial & Sun Temple.
Tansen was a pioneer of Gwalior Gharana in Hindustani Classical music during the reign of
Mughals. The Sun Temple is dedicated to Sun God and the architecture is inspired by the
world-famous Sun Temple in Konark. Overnight Stay at hotel in Gwalior.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and visit the most famous Gwalior Fort sprawling over an
area of 3 km, Gwalior fort can be seen from every nook and cranny of Gwalior. Within the fort
complex visit the Saas Bahu Temple (originally named as Sahastrabahu Temple which is
another name for Lord Vishnu with many hands) this temple is praised for its intricate designs
and impeccable carvings. Later drive towards Khajuraho. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.
Evening will be at leisure. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing of Khajuraho. The beautiful temples that dot
the town of Khajuraho are believed to have been built by the mighty Chandela rulers in 9th and
10th century AD. Visit the Western Group of Temples -the Kandariya Mahadeo is considered
the most evolved example of central Indian temple architecture. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this
temple is also the largest of Khajuraho’s temples. The Lakshmana Temple is one of the oldest
and finest of the western group of temples. The temple of Devi Jagdamba is considered by
many to be one of the most erotic temples of Khajuraho. The temple of Vishvanath and Nandi
celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva with Parvati. Later, visit the Eastern Group of Temples-
The temple of Parsvanath is the largest of the Jain temples in Khajuraho India and the
finest…without any sexual motifs. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Jabalpur. Upon arrival, check in to the
hotel. Overnight stay at Jabalpur.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Jabalpur. Upon arrival, check in to the
hotel. Later visit for afternoon Jungle Safari. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight stay in
Satpura. (National parks are closed every Wednesday for afternoon safari.)

Early morning Jungle Safari. After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Bhopal, the
city of hills and lakes. Visit Taj-ul-Masjid (which has the distinction of being the largest mosque
in India) as also Moti Masjid. Also visit “Museum of Man” an initiative by the Madhya Pradesh
Government where you can catch a glimpse of tribal life of Madhya Pradesh. Upon arrival, check
in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Bhopal.

After breakfast, visit Sanchi Stupas. On the way to Sanchi, you will pass through several towns
and small villages. It is unique for having the most perfect and well-preserved Buddhist stupas.
The remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamodgilya are also preserved here. After
Sanchi, you will proceed to visit Udayagiri caves, about 15kms from Sanchi close to the town of
Vidisha. Udayagiri caves are rock-cut cave shrines, dating from 320-600 A.D. Overnight stay
Bhopal.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed to Indore. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel.
Rest of the day will be at leisure. Overnight stay in Indore.

After breakfast, check out from hotel and proceed for half day local city tour. Overnight stay in
Indore.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Indore airport for your return flight back home.
