Tour Plan
Day 01 – Fly To Kolkata
Fly to Kolkata with Emirates Airlines via Dubai, other flights are available, contact us for prices and upgrade offers.
Day 02 – Arrive Kolkata – The Elgin Fairlawn
Arrive, meet & greet then transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your flight.
Day 03 –Kolkata To Kurseong – Cochrane Place
Fly to Bagdogra. Arrive Bagdogra and after a 2 hour drive to Kurseong, you’ll check in at the hotel then at leisure.
Day 04 – Kurseong
The day is at leisure for you to walk around the small hilly town and explore on your own.
Day 05 – Kurseong To Darjeeling – The Elgin Darjeeling
Transfer to the station where you will join the Himalayan Queen Toy Train to Darjeeling. Arrive Darjeeling & transfer to your hotel.
Day 06 – Darjeeling
Early morning visit to Tiger Hill & Ghoom Monastery. Later, you will visit Tibetan Refugee Centre (Closed on Sunday), HMI & Zoo. (Closed on Thursday), this afternoon you will walk to Bhutia Busty Monastery & Observatory Hill.
Day 07 – Darjeeling To Pelling – The Elgin Mount Pandim
Drive to Pelling, approximately 4 hours. Arrive Pelling and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit Pemayangtse Monastery & Rabdantse Ruins.
Day 08 – Pelling
You’ll enjoy an excursion to Khecheopalri Lake, approximately 1 hour drive. Khecheopalri Lake is considered as one of the sacred lakes of this State both by the Buddhist and the Hindus.
Day 09 – Pelling To Kewzing – Bon Farmhouse
Drive to Kewzing (Ravangla), approximtely 3 hours.. Arrive Kewzing and after check in at the hotel you are free to enjoy your afternoon at leisure.
Day 10 – Kewzing
You will be visiting Samdruptse and Temi Tea Garden and then the rest of the day will be at leisure.
Day 11 – Kewzing To Gangtok – Elgin Nor-khill
Today you’ll be driving to Gangtok, approximately 3 hours drive and after arrival, check in at the hotel to enjoy an afternoon of leisure.
Day 12 – Gangtok
After breakfast, you will enjoy a private guided tour of Gangtok visiting Rumtek Monastery, Tibetology (Closed on Sunday) & Do Drul Chorten. In the afternoon, you will visit Enchey Monastery & Cottage Industry. (Both Closed on Sunday)
Day 13 – Gangtok To Samthar – Samthar Farmhouse
Drive to Samthar, approxiately 1.5hrs, arrive and check in at the hotel.
Day 14 – Samthar
A well deserved day at leisure.
Day 15 – Samthar To Kalimpong – The Elgin Silveroaks
Drive to Kalimpong, approximately 2 hours. Arrive Kalimpong and check in at the hotel.
Day 16 – Kalimpong
Visit Pedong Monastery. Rest of the day will be at leisure to pursue independent activities.
Day 17 – Kalimpong To Kolkata – The Oberoi Grand
Drive to Bagdogra, approximately 3 hours, for your flight to Kolkata. On arrival check-in at your hotel. Enjoy your day at this fabulously luxury hotel.
Day 18 – Kolkata
Today is a full day tour visiting the major sights of the city like Victoria Memorial, National Library, Marble Palace, South Park Cemetery, Hooghly River and Mother Teresa centre.
Day 19 – Kolkata Homebound
Today India bids you farewell for your flight back to UK.
