Day 01 – Fly To Kolkata

Depart today with Air India, nonstop service to Delhi. Experience the new Business Class Service onboard their new aircrafts.

Arrive, meet & greet then transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your flight.

 

An early start straight after breakfast ensures you make the most of your day touring the best of Kolkata. You will meet your private guide for a tour of the city, a visit to Howrah flower market, followed by a visit to The Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial, St Pauls Cathedral and Marble Palace. Then later you will also see Mother House, headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, whose tomb is on site.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Bhubaneshwar, transfer to your hotel then later take a tour of the temple town. Visiting the three main groups Lingaraja, Mukteswara, and Rajarani.

Today you will visit the caves at Udayagiri, Ratnagiri, and Lalitgiri, etched out of coarse-grained sandstone hills, which rise 40 metres above the surrounding area, some of the earliest in India, dating from the Jain and Buddhist occupation of the region.

Start your morning by heading towards the coast, making a pit stop along the way at the charming villages of Pipli and Raghurajpur. Pipli is renowned for its exquisite applique craft, adorning every house and shop along the roadside with vibrant bursts of color. Upon reaching your destination, unwind at your leisure, perhaps with a relaxing stroll along the beach or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere.

 

After breakfast, you’ll have some time to enjoy the beach, then later in afternoon you will travel to the impressive Konark Sun Temple built in the 13th century and one of many protected UNESCO World Heritage Site in India. Stay for sunset, then return to your hotel.

Embark on a morning drive to Chilika Lake, a vast brackish water expanse renowned for hosting over a million migratory birds during the winter months (November to January). Witness the spectacular sight of ospreys, grey-legged geese, cranes, and flamingos, journeying from as far as Siberia and Iran to this sanctuary. If birdwatching is your passion, feel free to extend your stay for an immersive experience (please advise at the time of booking for arrangements such as a private boat and bird guide). After a leisurely cruise, return to Puri to unwind and relax.

Transfer to Bhubaneshwar airport for your flight to Hyderabad, on arrival transfer to your hotel then after check in, you are at leisure to relax or take a walk out into town on your own.

After breakfast, you will proceed for a sightseeing of the city, visit sights including the iconic Charminar, the Salar Jung Museum, and the vibrant Laad Bazaar. Explore the impressive Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi tombs on the outskirts of Hyderabad

Today is a day for leisure, enjoy your time – whether it’s revisiting a favourite spot from yesterday, indulging in some local market shopping, or simply unwinding at your hotel. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. Transfer to your hotel then at leisure.
